It has been three days out here in this horrid place. Why am I complaining? I am the outlaw who signed up for this job. Let me rephrase that, I am the one who signed up for a job with Von Bach, but right now he is nowhere to be found.
I came here to make some scrip and I am running errands for the E-Rep fellows with some sort of promise that they will help me. I am beginning to think they have their own objectives and are using me. I should put a pistol to that…looks like they are asking for me again. What is it this time?

That Cass Ducar! She got me into such a mess today. I can’t tell if she is a bleeding heart land lover or she really knows how to get her way and make some scrip. I walk in to see what she wants and she goes and volunteers me to help get some radio communication established. “Don’t get mad” she said. I about wanted to knock her across the face right then and there. Lucky for her, radio communication might make it easier to find Mr. Von Bach and I can get back to some actual mutant hunting scrip paying exploration.
The radio tower was infested with mutants when we arrived. Someone out here is supplying these mutants though with high technological weaponry. They had security turrets set-up guarding the building and were intelligently keeping communications down. They may have mutated, but they are either smart enough to plan themselves, or someone is in the shadows directing them.
Cass provided cover fire for me while I used EGO to increase my speed so I could avoid the turret shots. Once I was able to get behind them and take out the shtako guarding the electrical box it was an easy task to disable each one. However, securing the radio tower was another beast.
I realize I am the guns of this combo between Cass and me, but somehow I ended up playing body guard to her while she got the tower up and running. Someone had to have signaled for mutant reinforcements as they were coming in hard and fast. Have you ever been hit by one of these guys? One hit and my entire shield was disabled. It was kill fast or die even quicker.
To make matters worse Cass runs into a power problem with the tower. Who gets sent out to solve it? Oh right, out of the two of us sent to fight an entire mutant army, it appears I have to go solve this issue. The power box was right outside the station, but in all her finesse Cass manages to be seriously hurt during the process. Fighting off one of those huge big guys and getting the power back up I return to find her trying to solve our little issue.
I guess I cannot blame her. She may be an Ark Hunter, but she does not have an EGO implant like I do. Am I starting to feel for her? There is no need to. Once I find Van Bach I am done working alongside her. We got the tower up and running and the freaking E-Reps notify us that they are on the perimeter coming in to secure the area. What the shtako is this? Did they seriously sit out there while two of us infiltrated an entire infested area to secure radio transmissions for them?
Now I am just more ticked at this thinking about it again. I am going to go have a nice little chat with the dear Captain Grant. By tonight, I may be fighting everyone if I do not get my end of the bargain.
